Mr. Chan Shui Hung, President of the Institute of Mediators, Dr. Alex Lau, Vice-President and Ms. Edna Chao, Chief Supervisor of the Macau Institute of Professional Mediators, attend and preside over the kick-off meeting for the compilation of the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Mediator Competency Training Guidelines” (the “GBA Standard”) cum the GBA Mediation Experts Forum.
The meeting is jointly organised by the Technical Committee for Human Resources Standardization of Guangdong, the GDHR, and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Cross-border Labor Relations Service Demonstration Centre. It invites Ms. Zhang Yue, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Haizhu District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Guangzhou; Ms. Li Yongsi, Deputy Director of the Haizhu District Labour Relations Comprehensive Service Centre; together with mediation experts, legal practitioners and industry representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, to exchange in-depth views on drafting the GBA Standard and on cross-border mediation practice, with a view to launching the standard in Q3 2025.
Prior to the meeting, representatives of the Institute of Mediators and the Macau Institute of Professional Mediators receive their Letters of Appointment from Deputy Director Zhang on behalf of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Cross-border Labor Relations Service Demonstration Centre.
