Mr. Chan is the founding President of the Institute, who has been engaging in legal works, mainly civil litigation and arbitration, since 1998. Before that, Mr. Chan was a law enforcement officer.
Mr. Chan holds a wide spectrum of legal related qualifications namely, LL.B (Hons) - University of Wolverhampton; LL.M (Chinese and Comparative Law) - City University of Hong Kong; Postgraduate Diploma (Legal Practice) – De Montfort University; Associate (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) (UK); General Mediator (HKMAAL) and Mediator (International Commercial Mediation Center for Belt and Road Initiative). |

Dr. Alex LAU

Specialised in Intellectual Property Law, Dr. Lau has been engaging in legal professional services since 1983. Before holding office in HK Intellectual Property Advisory Service Limited, Dr. Lau was a Manager to the Intellectual Property Centre of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.
Dr. Lau graduated from the University of Macau with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. Dr. Lau is also a multi-degree holder in law which includes LL.B - Peking University; LL.B (Hons) and LL.M (Chinese and Comparative Law) (Credit) - City University of Hong Kong and Ph.D (Competition Law) - China University of Political Science and Law.
Dr. Lau holds the following professional qualifications:

Mediator (Foshan City of Shewai Commercial Disputes of HK, Macau & Taiwan Lit – Med Office)

Mr. Ferris LEE

Mr. Lee is a Chartered Management Consultancy Surveyor and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
On the academic side, Mr. Lee holds an honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering (B.Eng (Hons)) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) awarded by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Lee has a good hands on experience with real estate projects in China and Hong Kong, with a focus on investment, development and asset management. Mr. Lee currently works for a leading global real estate investment firm.
Mr. Lee is an Honourary Advisor of the Institute.

Mr. LI Kam Chuen

Mr. Li is a professional surveyor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. He is also an arbitrator and a fellow member of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb). Mr. Li holds a wide range of academic qualifications including a Diploma in Building Surveying (Glasgow School of Architecture, UK); a Master of Engineering in Quality Management (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia); a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Project Management (University of Hong Kong); a Postgraduate Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (Queen Mary University of London, UK); a Master of Laws in Chinese Commercial Law (Open University of Hong Kong); and a Postgraduate Course in State Affairs (Peking University).
Mr. Li is also the Head of SME & Minor Works Dispute Management Centre. As to mediation qualifications, Mr. Li is a Mediator (International Commercial Mediation Center for Belt and Road Initiative), an International Accredited Professional Mediator, a mediation coach and assessor. |
